Dave Nacmanie

The Teacher - Dave Nacmanie

 

Dave Nacmanie received a BA in Music Education with a concentration in Trombone from the Crane School of Music in 2006.  He has been a part of various groups around the world including The National Orchestra of Samoa, Hershey Park, the New York Youth Orchestra, the Burlington Concert Band, the UVM Brass Ensemble, the Vermont Wind Ensemble and Joe's Big Band.  He is currently a resident teaching artist at the Flynn Center for the Performing arts and a teacher at the Integrated Arts Academy here in Burlington and has also taught around the world in Japan, Germany, Samoa.

Dave's main areas of focus on piano are classical, ragtime and jazz.  On acoustic guitar Dave has developed finger style picking in folk, bluegrass and classical.  On trombone Dave has spent many years playing jazz, German polka, orchestral and concert band music. In addition to performing and teaching at a professional level on piano, guitar and trombone, Dave also plays, the Banjo, Ukulele, Bass Guitar, Trumpet, Baritone and Tuba.  Further, he is happy to teach any level of student in what ever instrument their heart desires.

Dave also holds an MS in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from SUNY New Paltz, is a dual certified teacher and builds biodegradable caskets.  www.earthsnaturalreturn.com
